Exceeded expectations

My expectations were high due to the very positive reviews. I was very pleased with my LS50WII which are excellent speakers. I decided to upgrade to LS60's and I am extremely pleased with the convenience and simplicity to listen HiFi sound in very good looking speakers. These speakers are top of the range,there's no competition at this price!

Violation of EU consumer protection laws regarding guarantees and warranties

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the handling of my recent purchase and the apparent violation of EU consumer protection laws regarding guarantees and warranties.

According to the official EU regulations "https://europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/consumers/shopping/guarantees-returns/index_en.htm#:~:text=Under%20EU%20rules%2C%20a%20seller,year%20guarantee%2C%20at%20no%20cost"
a seller is required to provide a minimum two-year guarantee at no cost to the consumer. This warranty is meant to cover any product defects and is non-negotiable under EU law. However, in the email dated August 21, KEF team indicated that because I accepted a 10% discount, which I still have not received as of today, my warranty would now be subject to a “case-by-case basis and at the discretion of the KEF technical/product team.” This is directly against EU law, as the consumer’s right to a two-year guarantee should not be compromised by accepting a partial refund.

Worst after-sales service for speakers of this price

I purchased these speakers last month, and there are a couple of issues I am very dissatisfied with:

1. I paid 5000 euros for these speakers, but the delivery company only left them at the entrance of the building. They expected me to carry these 60 kg speakers up to the 4th floor by myself, which is completely unacceptable.
2. There are defects in the speakers. Claire from the customer service team offered me a 10% discount on August 16, and on August 20, I received an email stating that the refund would be in my bank account within 3-4 days. Today is September 11, and I still haven’t received it.

I emailed KEF on August 29 and September 4, inquiring about the refund, but no one has replied. Is this what you consider an empty promise? I would expect more from KEF, so called premium brand.
