P1 Desk Pad

Solid and heavy, well made. It feels like they isolate very well the speakers from the desktop.
But it is unintuitive and laborious to screw the pads to the speakers. Very surprisingly, their alignment with the speakers (which is obviously meant to be unique and perfect) is essentially free and not ensured by construction, which is of course a big design flaw. So tightening the screw will invariably misalign the pad and you have to get it right by trial and error. Hard to believe.

First, the good things:
- Very good build quality. The stands are heavy, and feel really solid. It’s like they are made from solid metal blocks.
- They are very steady. You can tell that the speakers are not going anywhere when they are on the stands. And they are doing a solid job on managing vibrations.

And the bad:

- The screw is a bit difficult to fasten initially, and you feel like you are damaging the threads.
- There’s no indication to help you align the stands with the speakers properly. You do it “by the eye”.
- They are pretty pricey, which can be justified by the build quality, but not from the intuitiveness of installation.
